We are pleased to announce that Drs. Negin Farsi and Amin Heidarian are the first and second place winners of IPANA's 8th annual Trainee Award!

Dr. Farsi, a resident in the Department of Pathology at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport (Shreveport, LA), was recognized for her USCAP 2021 platform presentation “Identifying Signature Genes Associated with Cutaneous Melanoma Survival.” 

Dr. Heidarian, a head and neck/endocrine pathollogy fellow at Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, FL), was recognized for his poster presentation "Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) of Salivary Gland Carcinomas (SGC): Correlation with Morphology and Emerging Evidence Supporting a Shift to Molecular Classification."
